Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan directed the relevant ministries and authorities on Tuesday to immediately deploy all necessary resources to address the damage caused by the prevailing weather conditions. He also ordered the continuation of the state of emergency to deal with any anticipated weather events in the coming period.
A number of ministers conducted intensive tours in the southern governorates to assess the impact of the heavy rains on the infrastructure and to begin its rehabilitation immediately.
The Prime Minister stressed the need for continued monitoring of dams and water storage sites. He also emphasized the importance of addressing any abnormal conditions that may arise as a result of weather depressions and regional and global climate change.
