The UAE bans its citizens from traveling to Mali and calls on those already there to leave immediately.
The United Arab Emirates announced on Tuesday night a travel ban for its citizens to Mali.
A statement published by the Emirates News Agency (WAM) said that “due to the current events in Mali, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs prohibits UAE citizens from traveling to Mali.”
The ministry also called on Emirati citizens in Mali to “leave and return to the country as soon as possible.”

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed “the importance of adhering to the instructions and warnings issued by it, and taking the highest levels of caution and vigilance.”
