The Greater Amman Municipality continues its “Amman is Beautiful” campaign to reduce indiscriminate waste dumping.

The Greater Amman Municipality has completed the “Amman is Beautiful” campaign in its various districts, as part of the executive program for the cleanliness strategy and reducing random waste dumping.

The campaign aims to bring about a qualitative shift in the reality of public cleanliness, and to reduce the phenomenon of random waste dumping by promoting the concepts of environmental sustainability and responsible community awareness.

The municipality explained that the campaign will include neighborhoods and streets, mountain slopes, median islands, squares and plazas, pedestrian bridges and tunnels, commercial markets, in addition to the entrances and exits of Amman, and around archaeological and tourist sites.

Several neighborhoods will be selected from each area, in addition to the mechanical sweeping of their main streets.

The Secretariat confirmed that it has prepared a plan to sustain cleaning operations in all areas during the holy month of Ramadan to ensure the preservation of cleanliness, especially in religious and commercial sites that witness active movement during the holy month, in order to ensure a healthy and clean environment befitting Amman, its residents and visitors.
